Rei Hotoda

Pianist and conductor, Rei Hotoda has been hailed as an inexhaustible dynamo. Rei has appeared as a guest conductor with several prestigious orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the symphony orchestras of Toronto, Winnipeg, St. Louis, and Detroit, among others. She is currently the Music Director of the Fresno Philharmonic.

 

Rei is also an active chamber musician and critically-acclaimed keyboardist and embraces her time conducting from the piano and harpsichord. Recently, she conducted from the keyboard with the symphony orchestras of Dallas, Winnipeg, Utah and the Fresno Philharmonic. She has collaborated and performed chamber music with Tower Quartet and members of the Chicago Symphony, the Fort Worth Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic.

Ms. Hotoda holds a doctorate in piano performance from the University of Southern California and received her undergraduate degree from the Eastman School of Music.
